What happened today:
  • The two L antennas for 160 went up.
  • All Beverage antennas installed by the sucessful Beverage team (DL8OH, DK7YY and HA0DU). Directions are: North-East (EU), East (Asia), South-East (ZS6), South-West (South America), North-West (North America). Input transformers and end terminators still to be connected.
  • Phasing box for 80 meters installed.
  • All 10m-Yagis now up.
  • Stackmaster/Stackmatch units mounted for 10, 15, and 20 meters.
  • All High Band beams connected.

Looking towards South America, the 24 m high 40-m-Tower is seen. 3 el KLM on the top (at 24 meters), 2 el 402CD at 16 meters.

Open Problems and Plan for October 25

  • 40m USA Beam does not work - no resonance at all.
  • 20m EU Beam does not work - bad VSWR.
  • 15m Top Yagi, resonance is too low (20.960 kHz) - hopefully to be fixed with tuning hairpin.
  • 10m: not one single antenna works. That's not too bad, must be an easy problem in between...
  • StackMaster of 15m station does not work.
  • CT 9.50 is often crashing, is it a bug in NETTSR.EXE or maybe a compatibility problem with old PC hardware (some old 486 and 386 PCs connected)?
  • 2 el North America Delta Loop for 80 not yet up.
  • All Beverage antennas need feedlines (about 1300 m total)

Thanks for working CN8WW again this year in CQ Worldwide DX Contest:
