What happened today:

Most of the team has well arrived at home, but today is "Murphy's day". At least he waited until the contest was over:

Murphy 1:

Victims: DL3DXX, DL3NCI, CN8LN (the bus drivers)
The transporter was passing the Moroccan customs well and made it with the ferry over to Algeciras (Spain, i.e. EUROPEAN COMMUNITY !!!). The Spanish customs stopped the transporter, said there was something wrong with the customs papers, locked away the papers and car registration, and told the crew that they would have to wait until 08:30 the next morning, when the head officer of the customs bureau would come back. The head officer came in the morning, looked on the papers, found everything OK, and five minutes later the transporter was on the road again !!!

Murphy 2:

Victim: DL6FBL
04:45    I get up in my Casablanca hotel and jump on a train to Casablanca airport.
06:00    At the airport I find out that the ground personnel is on strike. The flight companies do the check-in themselves, which takes two hours longer.
09:30    Already two hours late the plane is ready to leave. But now they couldn't get a time slot to land in Amsterdam (Holland) for the stop-over. So we had to wait for another one-and-a-half hours on the ground and in the plane before we would leave Casablanca.
14:00    Approaching the Amsterdam area we have to learn that the airport had been closed because of heavy winds. We circle for half an hour.
15:00    We finally landed on Maastricht/Aachen airport in the Belgium/Holland/Germany triangle. This is just a small airport with only a few daily flights. From Maastricht they want to take us to Amsterdam with buses (3-4 hours) for eventual connecting flights - but that is the wrong heading for my final destination (near Frankfurt/Germany).
16:00    I have enough and leave that circus, take a taxi to Aachen train station, jump on three different trains in a row and arrive home at:
23:56    What a fine day !!!
