What
happened today:
· High
waves take away 3 out of the 4 verticals from the 40m-4-square
after midnight. We can save some aluminium, but the guying wires
were eaten by the Atlantic Ocean. If someone at ZX0F or PJ4B
finds some 6mm polyester wires on their beaches: it's ours...
· Dieter
DL8OH wants to save his 80m antennas, but unwillingly takes a
fine bath in the Atlantic Ocean...
· After
breakfast we decide to take away all antennas from the shore.
Only one single vertical for 40m and one for 80m stay on the
beach, another single 80m vertical is erected on the hill - as
well as a 2-ele vertical array for 40m.
· The
container for the high-band-stations is delivered. The
company's name is S.A.C.M.I. from Mohammedia. They mainly
produce shelters for GSM systems and similar stuff. We have some
problems putting the container to the exact position. The
following pictures will explain themselves:

· Wolf,
OE2VEL, joined the team. He was spending some "Lufthansa
miles" for a free journey. He arrived at Casablanca airport
and took the train from Casablanca to Rabat (some 100 km, very
reliable, 5 US-Dollars fare). From Rabat train station he took a
Taxi to the hotel (some 20 km, very old Mercedes, 15 US-Dollars
fare).
