What
happened today:
· Two fixed beams for
both 15m and 20m look down from their masts now.

left: That Cushcraft XM520 is a real monster...; right:
ye olde Hygain 204BA going up...
· In March 1999 we
brought a 100ft mobile tower down to Morocco (fully automatic;
combination of electric, hydraulic and pneumatic components). It
is now equipped with a rotary 2-ele Cushcraft
40-2CD, but for security reasons [=wind...] only at 65ft:

· Another
Cushcraft 2-ele 40-2CD beam for 40m is put up - only on a 6m
long pipe, but overlooking the ocean towards Europe. This
antenna was intended for high angle QSOs to Southern Europe
during daylight time.

DK6WL and DK2OY are dreaming of 40m pileups...
· The ethernet cabling
works are finished - the CT network is working. Interesting: the
total length of the ethernet segment (RG-58 coax) is more than
400 meters [IEEE-specified length: maximum 175 meters] - and it
is working fine. We tried to insert a two-port-BNC-repeater to
reduce the segments to the specified lengths, but then the
network is crashing... No idea... No repeater...
