Thank you.
This activity of the Bavarian
Contest Club (BCC) would not have been possible without the generous
support of many private, commercial and public institutions. Besides all
team members, their families, and all other BCC members I want to say "THANK
YOU" especially to the Radio Amateurs of Morocco, represented by the A.R.R.A.M.
(Association Royale des Radio Amateurs du Maroc). Their president, M. Housni
Ben Slimane, CN8BE, and IARU liaison, M. Kacem El Kaoukabi, CN8LR, gave
us all the support we needed. CN8BC, CN8BD, CN8BK, CN8ET, CN8GI, CN8GT,
CN8JH, CN8KD, CN8LI, CN8LN, CN8NK, CN8NM, CN8OO, CN8OR, CN8VC, CN8YT, Mohammed,
Abdel-Ali and others showed us their hospitality - and we are very proud
to call them all "our friends" [CN8**
Radio Amateurs Photo gallery]. It was our goal to win the contest and
set a new world record. We made it and now we are proud to say: "This world
record belongs to the country and the people of Morocco".
Our public supporters: Gendarmerie Royale du Maroc,
A.N.R.T. (Agence Nationale des Reglementations des Telecommunications),
Caidat de la commune Bouknadel, IHK Industrie- und Handelskammer Fulda.
Our commercial supporters: Cushcraft
Inc., Siemens AG,
Trasmediterranea
(Trasmediterranea - Spanish Shipping Company connecting Iberian Peninsula
with Balear Islands, Canary Islands and North West of Africa),
Swisslog,
ACOM.
Last, but not least, our local contractors: Hôtel Firdaous (Bouknadel),
Data Telecom (Rabat), S.A.C.M.I. (Mohammedia), MTDS (Rabat).

What was going on?
Members of the Bavarian Contest Club (BCC) were taking part in the
1999 CQ WWDX Contests as a Multi/Multi team from Morocco. CN8WW had seperate
stations on all six bands for the complete 48 hours of both Contests. In
SSB 16 operators formed the Team, in CW 12 operators. Only three operators
were on site in both contests (DK2OY, DL6FBL, DL8WPX). Both Teams had tons
of work and tons of fun. And both Teams managed to break the old World
Records and set new All-Time High Scores:

The CN8WW diary: Daily Pictures, Stories, Happenings...
Our plan was to keep everybody informed by putting new pictures and stories
on the web every day. We must admit that this was our wish, but we could
not fulfill it every day. Some days were that much full of work, that we
either forgot to take pictures with our digital camera, or to put it on
the web in the evenings. At times we also had problems with our internet
connectivity: data rates were sometimes down to 20 bytes per second (!)
during weekdays. Fortunately in the weekends it worked fine, when all commercial
users were offline...
Click here and follow the dates from the
beginning till the end... There are up to five pictures (each around 15-25
kB) in each page, so it may take some time to load...
CN8WW will be back
again for CQ Worldwide 2000 !
