In this contest CN8WW was a Single-OP operation, again. I was accompagnied by Heye (DJ9RR). First we had planned to operate again from that beach location of the recent WPX SSB contest, where we had done quite fine. But unfortunately the house was not available this time. Since we did not find another suitable QTH quickly, we decided to operate from the Club Station CN8MC in downtown Rabat [thanks to the A.R.R.A.M.], the place where I had also operated the 1998 CQ Worldwide contests. Since WPX contest rules finally restrict the Multi/Single class to a real single-station event, both of us could have operated only 24 hours out of the 48. So we decided to go for two separate Single-OP entries from the same station setup. Now both of us could operate 36 hours out of the 48. N8BJQ had confirmed that this was in accordance with the contest rules, as long as no multipliers were being transferred to each other and so on...
