In 1997 and 1998 I visited my good friend Klaus (DL5ZAH, now 4F1RWW) in Manila. I brought him a KLM KT-34A antenna and we put it up on a 15m high tower in the back of his house. Here you can find his homepage: http://www.qsl.net/4f1rww. I made a few QSOs as DL6FBL/DU1, but then we decided to go to a beach resort on Cebu Island for some relaxing... As DL6FBL/DU7 I just made some 1,000 QSOs (only CW). Relaxing, drinking beer, and enjoying the scenery didn't leave too much time for the radio, hi... If you still need a QSL card from DL6FBL/DU7, just drop me a line: dl6fbl@boc.de.
Here are some pictures (sri, low quality) of our antenna work:
Left: DL6FBL, little Bianca, DL5ZAH/4F1RWW; Right: Construction
of the tower basement
Left+Right: DL5ZAH/4F1RWW putting together the KLM KT-34A. Because
there is no space left in the backside of his house - there is just one
large swimming pool :-) , the antenna had to be put together as shown,
hi...
And up it is!
